Senamiestis<\/strong> , or Old Town, is the oldest district of Vilnius, located on the left bank of the Neris River, bordering Naujamiestis to the west, and is separated to the east by the Vilnia River from the U\u017eupis district. The old town of Vilnius, which has developed over hundreds of years, is both historically and architecturally a very multi-layered district. Thanks to the well-preserved old town and its historical value, the old town of Vilnius is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It is a truly unique and artistic district of Vilnius, popular for its bohemian atmosphere. Today, the \u0160nipi\u0161k\u0117s district is known as skyscrapers and business district. However, the district is characterized by strong contrasts, with old wooden houses standing next to the new skyscrapers.
